WooHoooo!!! IT"S HERE!!

We got our letter..Yeah, Yeah, Yeah......Yeah!! I am so excited to be a number on the waiting list for a child/children from Ethiopia!!!! It feels as good as I thought it would! My husband was not home when it came and I didn't want to tell him over the phone. So, I thought of fun ways I could let him know our letter came. This is what I did.........I cut out Blue circles that represented the number we are on the boy list and Pink hearts that represented the number we are on the girl list and Yellow paper for what number we are for siblings and then Orange for our overall number. I then taped all of the cutouts on the garage door so when he pulled up that's the first thing he saw!
Here are our numbers...
Boy #14
Girl #17
Siblings #2
All #25
We are so excited!!! I love being a number....I love being many numbers! We are going to take all the cutouts off the garage and put them up in ours house and every month when we get our update call we will let our kids take the numbers down one by one!

Here is a pictures of what the garage looked like when Mike came home.

I CAN'T EVEN WRITE HOW EXCITED WE ARE!!!!!! (By the way...we waited 104 days.) BUT IT'S HERE NOW!!!!!

104 days so far:(

We have been waiting 104 days since the USCIS office has had our home study and I600a application. Can you believe it!!!!! 104 DAYS!!!! I'm still waiting on the mail today, it hasn't come yet.

Still Waiting

On Wednesday morning our phone rang and it was our local adoption agency (the one that did our HS). They said that they had gotten an email from the USCIS office saying they (the USCIS) needed a letter from our states Department Of Human Services saying that our agency is licensed in our state.
So what next??? Well, our social worker had to send our home study and a letter of request so The Department Of Human Services would write a letter stating they are licensed in our state. Once that letter was finished by Humans Services they would need to send it back to our social worker, who then would send it to the USCIS office.
I was feeling a little down thinking that this would take forever to get it all done.
My SW called the Department of Human Services and asked if she could just fax all the papers. They said that would be fine. Once the Department received everything they wrote the letter and had it "overnighted" back to my SW. So, by Thursday our SW had the letter she needed. She then "overnighted" it to the USCIS office. They should have gotten it by Friday!!!
Our home study agency thinks we should be getting our letter this coming up week. I don't want to get my hopes up...but I can't help it!

SERIOUSLY!!

I talked to our senators office yesterday (for the third time) and they contacted the USCIS office (immigration office) and were told we might get our FDL next week. This is the third time we have been told we would be getting it soon and the past two times it did not happen. Seriously, I will be shocked if we actually get our FDL next week.

Waiting (un)patiently,
Michelle

Getting ready

I think my kids might be ready for a baby in our home!! I love this picture. Both my children love babies. We are excited to see what God has planned for our family.
I am holding on to this verse......
"But these things I plan won't happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow, be patient! For it will surely take place. It will not be late by a single day." Habakkuk 2:3
I totally trust in Gods timing. I know that He knows what my future holds. He knows the perfect time to bring our family together.
"God, may YOUR WILL be done."

Rodeo...Yee Ha

Some of my friends and I went to a rodeo this weekend. It was fun while it lasted....my daughter got bored with it half way through so we left. We decided to dress "appropriate" for the occasion.

I missed the best part of the night. They had kids riding sheep bare back! I guess it was really funny!
ADOPTION UPDATE: Still waiting for our FDL.

Frost

I woke up Sunday morning and it was beautiful outside! Everything was covered in frost! I'm NOT in love with winter, but on days like this it makes the cold worth it!!

We are close to week 10 and still no FDL in the mail. The postman asked me today "if I deliver your letter, will you name your child after me?" I think I'll wait one more week and then take him up on his offer:)

JACKPOT!!!

All Gods Children International (our adoption agency) is sending our case manager (Julie) over to Ethiopia next week. They have a list of things needed for the children and workers over there.
They always need things like...baby clothes, formula, tooth brushes, shoes..ect.
I went shopping today and hit the jackpot!! I found baby outfits and shoes for the "special mothers" over in Ethiopia. The shoes were under $1.00 a pair!!!!! The baby outfits are a 5 piece set and were super cheap!!!! Can you believe it!!!!!
I LOVE getting good deals!!!
