NEW UPDATE

Well we received our bi-weekly update from our adoption agency. We are at a stand still with our numbers.
Boy #7
Girl #9
Siblings #1

The neat thing is that the Ethiopian adoption program is exploding!!! Our update gave us the over all numbers on all the lists and it's just amazing. Here are the numbers....
Boy 25 families waiting
Girl 31 families waiting
Sibling 10 families waiting

I am shocked that there are now 10 families waiting for siblings!!!! That is so GREAT!!

Our agency just received court/travel dates for 7 families, that will be leaving over Mother's Day, to bring their precious children home. I have a feeling that the referrals will be coming soon!

I hope you are right and those referrals come really, really soon. How are you doing? I am traying to state calm but it is very hard. Another good thing is how fast the court processed all those referrals from March. Hopefully that happen to us too. How is the nesting? I am kind like you because I don't know if I am having a boy or a girl so I am looking at neutral stuff for the nursery.Praying for you every day. Keep in touch.

I was excited to see so many people adopting siblings.

I bet that with so many families traveling that there will be a bunch of referrals soon.

I read on a forum that Ethiopia changed it's law about abandonment. A child only needs to be in an orphanage for 2 months instead of three to be considered abandoned.

Michelle,

It has been so long since you updated that I almost skipped right over your post. I just saw the same numbers and thought, "no news". I'm so glad you posted again, I was beginning to worry that you were getting down.

You are right the referrals are coming. I just pray that they get here VERY soon, so I can live vicariously through you while we wait for a travel date.

Were most of the referrals from March? I just thought the Gresham's got lucky. Wow, I hope we're soon too. But, I hope it's after your referral so I can take hundreds of pictures for you!

Keep thinking positive--it will be soon.

Move some mountains God and start uniting some children with their families! It is so exciting that there are so many families, but as Liz posted I might be a grandma before I get a referral at this rate!!!! (Just kidding-kinda)

You are on my heart today. I know this has been such a long journey for you with the CIS, but God's plan is moving forward and the day will come unexpectedly soon when you get that call. I can not wait to hear about it and share in your joy as you welcome some new little ones into your flock.

Wow. What a testament to God and his power! It is hard to believe that that could happen, but then with God all things are possible. I really try not to limit Him, yet I seem to do it often. Thanks for that story!
