I talked to Julie (our case manager) this afternoon and got our new numbers!!!!

We have pretty much cut all our numbers in half! I was very excited to hear this. I am really hoping to get a referral soon so we can travel before courts close. In Ethiopia the courts shut down for two months (August and September), so we wouldn't be able to travel until late October or even November.

It's good to see your official numbers. How exciting to have cut the numbers in half in a little over a month. I hope you can get in there before the courts close. We get to send in our dossier tomorrow, yay!

Lovin' the new numbers!! We got our referral on June 20th and cleared court on July 30th... .the day before it closed!!! Talk about stressed out!!!!!! I'm feelin' a referral coming soon!!! :)

Just to let you know I did asked Julie about how the referrals work and she said that she received them by email and then referred them to the families. She said that any day they can receive referrals. Don't worry, we still have hope for this week.

The name of the adoption devotional is Hope for the Journey, an adoption companion. I actually got it through Shaohannah's Hope when I applied for a grant. I'm not sure if you can order from them or not. But, if you apply for a grant from them, then they'll send it in the mail :)

This is great Michelle! Thanks for you comment on my blog too! You are so kind...no new news for us just "patiently" waiting for our Immigration approval! It will be 6 weeks this Friday since we had our fingerprinting! I always think about you when I start getting a little anxious and it helps me trust in God more...so thanks for your example! I might follow your example in another way and start camping out at my mailbox... although it will be spring for me and not snow!!! God Bless..Shannon
Believe me, I will post the minute I know anything. I rechecked our bi-weekly e-mail and see there are 18 families in our position, so we could easily be #30but at least we would be a number!!

Hey, my family is doing great. We are all waiting for that referral. Did you know if the girls list moved? I know there were no boys or siblings referrals but I don't know about girls. If you know please let me know.
I don't even watch the show, but I was trying to think of something with 24 and that popped into my head. We are #36 overall. That's a lot of families, which means more kids having a home!

Hey... you tell me to post pictures... where are some more pictures of you guys?!?
TJ started golfing when we moved here. Someone from the church gave him some clubs, and so he had gone a few times with our pastor. The pastors in the district golf at meetings, so he figured he should start too... and he loves it. I'm glad that he has a hobby, but I would rather he spend all of his free time with me and not a golf course (selfish right)! ;)
