Great Stories!

I just saw that Focus on the Family had a show about adoption on Thursday, January 10th. You can go to their website and listen to it! It's well worth the time for all adopting parents (and anybody else). My husband and I sat on the couch crying while listening to some of the stories. Even though waiting is hard, we feel so blessed to be going through this journey right now. Our hearts are full.

I'm glad you got to hear the program. I was so touched by the last two stories! It takes a lot to get me to cry, but those were tear jerkers. We have not gotten fingerprinted yet. In MT we have to wait until our homestudy is finished until we can send in our 1600A. I did hear a few adoption programs in November, the one I can remember was about Antioch Bible Church in WA. Thanks for keeping up on our journey, I have been so blessed by reading other peoples' blogs. What a cool way for God to connect those he has called to this mission. Let us know when you get a finger printing appointment!

Hi Michelle,
I just received your comment on our blog. You are wondering about adopting a sibling group. My husband and I brought our sons home from Ethiopia last July. We are not quite sure how to get in touch with you, but would love to share what God has done in our family. We are being strengthened by His grace daily.
Blessings,
Tanya

I am so sorry to hear that but don't give up. Tell the City and State of your CIS office to see if I can find a telephone number on the list that I checked from my home study agency (Florida Home Studies and Adoptions). That's what I did, look for the number and called directly to them a couple of times.

Just call saying your name and that you are calling to check the status of your CIS letter. That you did your fingerprints on ____ and that you are waiting for that letter to be able to go to the waiting list of your agency. That's what I did. Obviously there is not a lot of people adopting here in Florida but try it.

Hi Michelle,
Sorry I didn't respond to you last night. Go ahead and post your email on our blog and we will delete it as soon as we write it down. We understand not wanting personal info out in cyberspace.
We'll be in touch,
Tanya

Great to meet you too. We are with Hope Adoption Agency and we sent in our Dossier Dec. 19, so hopefully we will get our referrals soon. Who knows, we might travel around the same time. It will be fun to watch your journey.
That all may know Him,
Joy

Hi Michelle,
The wrap I have is called the Moby Wrap. My brother and his fiance bought it on amazon.com because they know someone who has one and loves it. It says that it can be used for preemie to 35 pounds. Check out the website www.mobywrap.com. It's funny because it is just a really long piece of fabric and it transforms into lots of holding options. Anyway, that's way too much info.... ;)

Still hoping to see some referrals soon!!
