The Wait Is Getting Difficult!!! And COLD!!!!!

Yes, you guessed it...we are still waiting on our Favorable Determination Letter (FDL). I read a blog of a family waiting for their son from Ethiopia. They had this verse on their blog....

"But these things I plan won't happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow, be patient! For it will surely take place. It will not be late by a single day." Habakkuk 2:3

I'm ready to bring the elders of the church over to my house when the mailman comes and lay hands on him and pray that he will deliver my letter soon!!!! I don't want him to be scared of me or anything...I already practically sleep by my box!!!!

What a perfect verse for waiting on God. It's so true...I want to be in God's perfect timing, not my own.

What a perfect verse!! I love the picture of you sleeping by the mailbox - hilarious. I'm SOOO sorry it is taking so long for your FDL to come in. I will continue praying that it comes soon (and in God's timing :) ). You're amazing - I think I'd be pulling my hair out about now.

I love the picture! That is totally something I would do. I was telling my husband that it is so great to have such fun blog friends. I will pray that your letter comes soon so you won't freeze waiting for it. I love the verse too, I've never heard that one before. Hang in there you are at least ahead of us.

I love that verse and need to post it on my blog. Infact, I should read all of habakuk! Love the picture! That is too funny and it made me laugh out loud (of course I am in sunny AZ sitting here nice and warm :)).

It will come.
I would have loved to see the expression on the faces of people who drove by.
I have heard such great things about All God's Children- You are definitely in good hands. One of my friends is going to Ethiopia to help out at Hannah's Hope in Oct.

Hey, just found your blog. We are adopting from Haiti. I totally understand the waiting...not fun. How long have you been in the process?
I hope you get your letter soon.

Praying it will be soon!!! I promise you will look back and it will seem like the time flew by, (I know it doesn't seem like it now)
Love the picture, too funny:) I never think of cute things like that!!!

Thanks for the sweet comment! I love hearing adoption stories too :). I wish I could have met you at the AGCI meeting too. It's crazy b/c there's so many families in WA who are adopting from Ethiopia (especially through AGCI). It's a total blessing and oh so wonderful to see those precious babies. My hubby and I were saying that it was great to see them because we know there's actual REAL, living little ones at the end of the road (not just paperwork - ha ha). They really are beautiful, adorable and every other cute word you can imagine. Any news yet? Still praying for you!

Your post is hilarious. I fear I too will be stalking our mailbox as we get farther along in the process. We too are adopting from Ethiopia, but are now waiting for our home study interviews to begin. Nice to meet you too! These blogs are a great lifeline.
