Waiting Numbers!?!?

I remember some other adoptive parents (Tracie, Julie and Dee Dee) investigating while they were on the wait list for a referral. Subtracting referrals and figuring out what number they were on the lists. So, here I am doing just that. It's called the UNofficial wait list numbers!!
Here they are (remember these are unofficial)......
Boy #7
Girl # 11
Sibling #1

WoooooHooooo!!!!!!!!

We have moved a lot in just one month!!!!

Praise God for all the movement! Not only are you getting closer to you kid(s), but more children are being connected with their forever families! I am living vicariously through you on that waiting list!

Michelle,

Can you believe you're in the single digits? Wow, if we hadn't accepted our referral, we'd be #7 on the girl list! But, I am so happy to be bringing home this little girl. I had the opportunity to babysit an infant for a friend of mine this past week, and I am totally amazed at how little I accomplished while watching her. She would only sleep if I held her, and of course the boys decided it was the perfect time to get into trouble. God definitely knows me better than I do.

I forgot to ask you: Does "siblings" mean two children, or could it mean more? I do hope we get to travel together. Even though we are already waiting to travel, Julie said abandoned children take a little longer to get through the courts.

Praying for your perfect match(es) this week.

That's exciting Michelle! It seems like the list keeps moving right along... I'll pray that this continues for you and all of the other families still waiting for referrals! God sure does have a lot to teach us all about this "waiting" in life! It's hard, but so good. I'm sure we'll all look back and think that God did some amazing things in the time of "waiting."

Our office was processing FDLs in 5-6 weeks, but now they are processing all of Oregon too (we are in Washington) so they said up to 120 days!!! I can't imagine waiting four more months until we get on the wait list!

AAAAHHHHHH! That is awesome! It is so exciting and encouraging to see how unofficially far you guys have come in such a short time. Maybe a two month wait for a referral isn't too much of a dream... :)

Hey there, in answer to your question on my blog, there are actually 8 more kids from HH Ethiopia coming to our church. The 2 little ones I mentioned are unknown right now and there are 6 older kids, the 2 older sisters you referred to, a sibling set of 3 older kids that were on the waiting list and an 8 year old girl. Very exciting huh?

Hi Michelle, wow, if you are #7, does that make us #8? I'm seriously wondering! I'm not sure if there is a boy person between us. I didn't think I would be so obessed with the number, but boy am I! I'm going to mooch off your investigative powers! Thanks:) Jana

You are the first person I thought of when I heard 120 days. I watched the pain you went through, the utter frustration and wondering when is it coming. I will continue to pray and be pleasantly suprised if it is anything less than 120!

Thanks for the prayers,
Amy
